MSRvantage Leverages Blockchain to Transform the Logistics Industry

Mumbai, 10 March 2022 (TGN)
: Globally, there is an increasing demand for supply chain and logistics solutions. Due to insufficient visibility of a product's origin, asset mishandling, limited transparency, and authentication and security concerns, the global supply chain business face various challenges.

MSRvantage comes up with AI-enabled blockchain solutions which is the future of the logistics industry. The start-up, was founded by MSRcosmos. It provides AI-enabled blockchain solutions such as anti-counterfeit management, intelligent supply chain solutions through improved traceability, asset digitization, and reward deployment, among others. It is all set to fundamentally transform the logistics industry by leveraging Artificial Intelligence and blockchain to overcome the myriad of challenges faced by the industry, like supply chain management, maintenance of documents, and coordinating the management of vehicles at multiple places.

MSRvantage’s Blockchain technology has the capacity to overcome all these challenges as it offers transparent and reliable data that can assist shippers in transitioning from reacting to market changes to controlling transportation costs and outcomes proactively and effectively. Shippers can establish a revolutionary strategy for their firm by introducing greater transparency into fuel and freight expenses.

MSRvantage also offers exceptionally efficient Supply Chain Management giving the seller greater control over the manufacturing of the product from beginning to end.

Geolocation tracking is an unquestionable necessity for operating automobiles in the logistics industry as it ensures reliability. MSRvantage fulfils this requirement by utilizing blockchain for coordinating the management of vehicles at multiple places as ELDs can communicate a stream of driver behaviour and route data to a blockchain. Combining this information with traffic and weather data provides carriers and shippers with a tool for improving routing.

MSRvantage also ensures supply chain transparency, which is one of the utmost priorities of the logistics industry. Blockchain also ensures that quality standards are met, providing greater control over logistics.

Mr. SivaGopal M, Founder & Chairman at MSRvantage said, “Sustainability is emerging as one of the top priorities of all industries, and this includes the logistics industry as well. MSRvantage can help save significant amounts of energy, reducing carbon emissions, without sacrificing profits and industry development, by making the supply chain more transparent and efficient with services like smart contracts, tracing solutions, asset digitization, incentives, and loyalty programmes. This is why it is a matter of time before the entire industry adopts Blockchain technology, as sustainability will become increasingly important in the future.”

MSRvantage's Blockchain, as a digital ledger, can help to reduce energy consumption by creating a database that can store vehicle information to aid in the selection of the proper fuel for the right vehicle. Furthermore, Blockchain and the Internet of Things may be utilised for vehicle-to-vehicle communication, allowing freight vehicles to communicate as a platoon, enhancing safety and fuel efficiency.

What the logistics industry requires above all else is security, which MSRvantage can provide as their blockchain is built on the concept of secure "blocks", which are temporally maintained versions of the document that are linked to prior blocks. As a result, they are extremely secure and impossible to counterfeit. This is significant because as data storage moves to the cloud, there is a pressing need to protect cloud data and applications. Failure to manage cloud access exposes organizations to major IT risks, such as giving users excessive privileges or, worse, leaving cloud storage repositories open and accessible to anybody. Employee inventory theft, particularly at distribution centres, continues to be a major concern to supply chains. Because blockchain provides a good authentication route with verification, no one can tamper with the data.

Another issue that businesses face is the difficulty to dispute high accessorial rates. Carriers are invoicing accessorial such as residential, liftgate, and inside deliveries more than ever before, which can make audits a frustrating and time-consuming procedure. MSRvantage’s blockchain can assist the logistics industry in the resolution of freight transportation disputes. Disputes are unavoidable in cargo shipping. This can occur if the products are misplaced or arrive late. Disputes are difficult to resolve and might persist for weeks before they are resolved.

By implementing MSRvantage's blockchain into its supply chain, the logistics sector stands to reap a plethora of benefits. The combination of lower costs, more efficiency, and increased security make blockchain an excellent fit for the logistics business. The need for AI-enabled Blockchain will continue to rise as the logistics sector acknowledges this, and MSRvantage will be at the forefront of meeting it.Ends

Sir H N Reliance Foundation Hospital performs TAVR on the oldest patient in Western India

Dr. Maulik Parekh, Head of Structural Heart Interventions, Department of Cardiology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital with 95 Year Old, Allwyn Almeida

MUMBAI, 25 FEBRUARY, 2022 (TGN): 95 year old, Mr Allwyn Almeida, after beating Covid-19 and all odds, become the oldest patient in the Western India to undergo the TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement) procedure at Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital. TAVR is a safer and minimally invasive alternative to open heart surgery for treatment of heart valve narrowing (aortic stenosis). Though the procedure was quite complex due to highly calcified and tortuous abdominal aorta and severely calcified aortic valve, Dr. Maulik Parekh, Head of Structural Heart Interventions, Department of Cardiology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital along with his team ensured that Mr Almeida is now safe and smiling.

Dr. Maulik Parekh said “It takes a lot of planning to perform this surgery and conducting nine such procedures within 30 days was a milestone because most were complicated cases. In particularly Mr Allwyn Almeida who had beaten Covid – 19 the procedure was quite complex due to his age, highly calcified and tortuous abdominal aorta and severely calcified aortic valve.“

Another a 62 Year old patient was suffering from cancer – undergoing chemotherapy and was unfit for an open heart valve replacement due to her comorbidities and long recovery time. She underwent TAVR, under local anaesthesia and walked home a day later. Third – a 70 year old lady who had undergone 2 previous open heart surgeries already. Now she was severely breathless due to degeneration of the previously implanted artificial tissue mitral valve. The patient underwent a state of art, minimally invasive, valve in valve procedure and was discharged in 48 hours. The TAVR team at Sir H N Reliance Foundation Hospital performed a total of Nine TAVRs (Advanced non-surgical valve replacements) in the month of January 22, amidst the peak of Omicron Pandemic which is a high number for any hospital in the country during this peak Covid-19 pandemic.

The Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) now provides a comprehensive treatment option to those patient suffering from heart valve stenosis and more patients are opting for this procedure due to the non-invasive nature, minimal hospital stay and quick recovery. With combination of best infrastructure, state of the art technology and clinical capabilities we are able to provide good clinical outcomes to all our patients said Dr Tarang Gianchandani, CEO, Sir H N Reliance Foundation Hospital.

Has DHFL’s resolution plan suffered a setback ?

  • The COC has yet not sat after the NCLAT order. The delay is only affecting the creditors.

MUMBAI, 07 February, 2022 (TGN): The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) recently asked the committee of creditors (CoC) to reconsider Piramal Capital and Housing Finance assigning a value of only ₹   1 to the bad loans of Dewan Housing Finance Corp. Ltd (DHFL), the bankrupt mortgage lender that Piramal acquired last year. The principal valuation of recoverable assets are set to around 38000 crore principally has been valued at Rs 1 to benefit Piramal capital and housing finance.

The recoverable assets of DHFL, now renamed Piramal Capital and Housing Finance, run into ₹   30,000 crore- ₹   40,000 crore, according to a petition filed by Jignesh Shah-led 63 Moons Technologies Ltd, which was heard by the NCLAT.

There have been number of properties developed, underdeveloped and huge land back too all over the country. It includes property in Pali Hill Bandra, BKC, plots in Juhu, a while Juhu Galli SRA project, huge agriculture land in Pune and other places, development projects with 25-30 builders and number of more properties and projects. All this have been valued at Rs 1. The RBI appointed administrator, COC has surpassed the value. The same has been stated by the NCLAT court. An independent body Knight frank was appointed that had valued the project way above 40000 crores.

The term in the resolution plan that permits the successful resolution applicant to appropriate recoveries, if any, from avoidance applications filed under Section 66 of the Code ought to be set aside. The resolution plan be sent back to the CoC for reconsideration on this aspect,” said a bench of Justices M. Venugopal and V.P. Singh, which heard the plea.

In its petition, 63 Moons questioned the “commercial wisdom” of the CoC in approving the resolution plan. Assigning a value of ₹ 1 means that the amount will be written off by the lenders and recovery, as and when it happens, will be credited to the resolution applicant Piramal Group, it pointed out.

Piramal Enterprises Ltd (PEL) bought the bankrupt DHFL in September 2021 by making an upfront cash payment of ₹ 14,700 crore to creditors.

Piramal made a total payment of ₹ 34,250 crore, which also included a debt instrument issuance of ₹ 19,550 crore. The creditors also received a total of ₹3,800 crore in cash that was with DHFL when the administrator took over the company for debt resolution.

Wholesale portfolio undervalued
The wholesale book portfolio has been grossly undervalued at approx. 9000 crores as on 31st March 2021.The two valuers appointed by the Administrator to determine the fair value and liquidation value of DHFL assigned nil value to the assets that were the subject matter of the avoidance applications filed before NCLT instead of ascribing some realistic value to the assets/money that may be recovered by pursuing the same. The fair value and liquidation value of DHFL being supressed to be approx. Rs.44,000 Crores and approx. Rs.27,000 Crores respectively.

A significant part of DHFL’s assets were thus locked in the avoidance applications such as luxury residential towers like Three Sixty West at Worli, projects with immense development potential like Juhu Galli Project.

Piramal in its resolution plan has also ascribed a value of only Re.1 to such valuable assets. Evidently, no value has been given for the Rs. 45,000 crores of assets that form the subject matter of the avoidance applications on the ground that the title is not clear and/or that security is not sufficient to cover the loans advanced.

Infact, erstwhile prompter Kapil Wadhawan by his letters addressed in 2020 had even offered to perfect title to the assets and give all the assistance required to the Administrator and COC to maximize the amount receivable to the COC; however, the Administrator by his letters continued to refer to the avoidance applications instead of taking an objective approach for the benefit of creditors.

The correct values of the said properties were also the basis of a resolution plan formulated by DHFL prior to CIR process in September 2019 (“2019 Plan”). The 2019 Plan was formulated by reputed agencies such as SBI Capital Markets and Ernst & Young (which continued to advise CoC/Administrator even during CIR process) and was based on the assets and potential of business of DHFL (based on valuation reports prepared by Knight Frank) and provided a detailed roadmap for payment of entire liabilities of about Rs.91,000 Crores.
